Batangas WWII War Crimes Documents
This page contains transcriptions and information on atrocities committed by elements of the Japanese Imperial Army during the latter days of their occupation of southern Luzon, particularly the Province of Batangas. The transcriptions are from now-declassified documentation of war crimes trials undertaken by the United States Military Commissions. The individual testimonies, in particular, can be cumbersome to read — but they offer a wealth of information on conditions particularly in January to March 1945 when the Japanese embarked on an indiscriminate campaign of killing in the province.
