Organizational Scheme, Fil-American Irregular Troops Batangas, January 1944
The Ibaan Regiment was one of many units of the Fil-American Irregular Troops (FAIT), a large guerrilla group founded by the former US Army officer Hugh Straughn, that was operating in Batangas during the Japanese Occupation. It was commanded by one Sixto Guerra. In this January 1944 document document1 one Lt. Col. Daniel Mercado outlined the organizational scheme for the FAIT in Batangas.

Subject: ORGANIZATIONAL SCHEME
3. Each district Commander is responsible for the proper coordination of all sector units under him and insist on a regular organization of units and their proper training and require each sector commander to submit intelligence reports weekly direct to this Hq. They will submit a consolidated strength report every 15th of each month.
4. Contact with units other than those of this province will be ONLY thru this Hq., otherwise disciplinary action will be meted on offending persons.
