Roster of the 1st Regiment, Nasugbu FAIT
The Fil-American Irregular Troops or FAIT was a guerrilla organization founded in 1942 by the retired American Colonel Hugh Straughn, who would unfortunately be captured and executed by the Japanese. The FAIT had many units operating in Batangas, including Nasugbu, where its 1st Regiment would be attached to the 11th Airborne Division of the United States Army after the Nasugbu Landing of 31 January 1945. In this document1, the roster of members of the Nasugbu Fil-American Irregular Troops is provided.
The roster includes those who had been “processed,” which we presume to be “for recognition” by the United States Army as well as the Philippine Army. These guerrillas were already attached to the 11th Airborne Division of the United States Army a few days after the Nasugbu landing on 31 January 1945.
The roster includes the Headquarters Battalion Staff as well as guerrillas who belonged to Companies “A,” “B,” and “C” of the Nasugbu Fil-American Troops. The lists are provided as individual images, duly paginated as they appeared in the original documents for the benefit of students and researchers who may need the pages for citation purposes.
