Instructions to the Gagalac Guerrilla Unit from their US Army Contacts
The Gagalac Guerrilla Group was one of the groups operating in Batangas that was given official recognition by the United States Army after World War II. In this series of documents are instructions conveyed to guerrillas, including the Gagalac Unit, by their contacts within the US Army, included as an enclosure/attachment to an appeal for recognition by the United States Army.

COL. LICOPA –
The Japs are reported 20 strong in Mayasang. We need them wiped out here. I am issuing an attack order to you to attack that group at Mayasang as soon as you can get what rifle and pistols you have together.
Supporting you in the attack will be Gagalac, attacking from Calaca sector, and Col. Ilagan of the Canluran from Lemery. You will attack from the South, Gagalac from the West and Ilagan from the West.
Attack the morning of February 8th, Gagalac and Ilagan are getting their orders to attack with you. (Italics, ours2)
