1 February: Underway patrolling off Nasugbu Bay, Luzon, Philippine Islands, in company with U.S.S. CONYNGHAM and U.S.S. SAUFLEY. 0850 anchored in Nasugbu Bay, Luzon, Philippine Islands. 0945 Lt. Gen. R. L. ECHELBERGER, Commanding General U. S. 8th Army and staff departed SPENCER to take charge of operations ashore in Nasugbu Bay.

2 February: 0245 departed Nasugbu Bay escorted by U.S.S. LOUCH. 1322 anchored in Mangarin Bay, Mindoro, Philippine Islands.
