Fallen Bridge over the Lagnas River, Bauan 1945

The photograph below is bundled with a group of pictures stated to have been taken in Bauan or Bauang in Luzon, Philippine Islands. Most of the others were quite obviously taken in La Union in Northern Luzon. However, for the picture above, the caption stated that it was over “Laganas” River, which in most likelihood was Lagnas River in Bauan, Batangas. Also, the date stated when the picture was taken was also when the US Army was, indeed, already in possession of this town in Batangas. The clincher was the caption saying that the bridge was over Highway 17, which was, indeed, in Batangas.
